Students Will Travel!

This student travels from Washington D.C. area in order to continue her studies with John Gerschefski.  Her mother mentioned that it is very difficult to find a teacher of his caliber, even in the D.C. area.  John Gerschefski has been a performer, conductor and arranger in D.C. for much of his life, but prefers to now reside in Mechanicsburg area.  Lucky for us and all string students in our community! DSC_0037.jpg

Three P5 faculty members, performed together in the award winning “Jesus Christ Superstar”

Our three woodwind teachers, Mary McClain (oboe, English Horn), Adrianne Wenrich (clarinet and sax) and Molly Shortridge (flute and piccolo), are often out and about performing in Central Pennsylvania’s orchestras, chamber ensembles and theaters.  They were very happy to find out that The Carlisle Theater Company’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar recently won Broadway World’s “BEST MUSICAL” award in Central Pennsylvania. Congratulations to all of Carlisle Theater’s cast, crew, staff and directors!  Our staff was proud to be part of such a wonderful theater company production!
